The client, a very famous French Wine region, wanted a venue that could host an important wine tasting evening for the trade. They also wanted to create a buzz with a wonderful Quiz night based on the famous TV series, Game of Thrones. About 150 guests were invited to the evening.
How we did it?
The Van Gogh room was used for the Wine tasting as it was perfect for the amount of guests invited. A long table was set up in the middle of the room with all the new wines ready to be tasted, the lights were changed into evening setting and Game of Throne music was played in the background.
In the meantime the Great Hall was set up as a cabaret style with 3ft round tables hosting five guests each. Huge screens were installed and actors enacting the famous TV series were changing in their costumes. Huge props from the medieval times were scattered around the venue, making the venue looking like a Enchanted Castle.
Once the tasting was finished, guests were invited upstairs in the magnificent Great Hall and the first gasps of the evening started on top of the stairs as the main view of the Hall was finally revealed.
Once all the guest were seated, food and drinks were served during the Quiz night and guests finished the night dancing happily on the dance floor.
Using the two spaces gave the client enough flexibility to ensure all their objectives were met. All the media and guests enjoyed a wonderful night in spectacular fashion.
